Kinetic Data Honors Customers with "The Wallys" at Annual Users Conference

Inaugural awards program acknowledges innovative use of Enterprise Request Management (ERM) technology

ST. PAUL, Minn. (March 11, 2014) — Though there were no paparazzi around, there was a "red carpet" (actually, Kinetic Data orange) and plenty of excitement when Kinetic Data presented The Wally awards for the first time during its annual Kinetic Enthusiasts Group (KEG) event.

Bendable statues in the shape of Kinetic Data’s mascot, Wally, were given to representatives of Advanced Technology Services, Inc.; CareTech Solutions; and Nordstrom, Inc. for their innovative and creative use of Kinetic Data software.

CareTech Solutions was honored as the "Innovator of the Year." The company realized $4.7 million in cost savings in one year by implementing Kinetic Request. In addition to being one of the first customers to use tables and bundles in Kinetic Data products, CareTech Solutions has used Kinetic Request in conjunction with iPads at its offices to centralize visitor information with a digital sign-in sheet.

Nordstrom was named the "Rookie of the Year." Kinetic Data consultants initially worked with Nordstrom for two months on custom portal and service item templates, resulting in 55 service items being built. Just four months later, the Nordstrom team’s IT catalog is up to 85 service items.

The third award was the "Best Poster Stories" award. Attendees at KEG were invited to develop a poster illustrating how Kinetic Data ERM products have made a difference in their organizations. The winner, the IT services division of Advanced Technology Services (ATS), was recognized for its three poster stories. One poster outlined how it replaced Microsoft SharePoint forms with Kinetic Request as the method for IT users to ask for access to terminated employee data. Another showed how it built 22 templates using Kinetic Request and Kinetic Task to cover 80 percent of the requests and incidents submitted to its IT department, which dramatically reduced the time required to build out new customer service catalogs. The third poster illustrated the company’s use of Kinetic Request and Kinetic Task to automate requests for UNIX access, which resulted in a customer satisfaction increase from 60 to 93 percent.

"Kinetic Data customers are extremely passionate about our products and find creative ways to stretch their capabilities before we even do," said John Sundberg, president of Kinetic Data. "The Wallys are a fun way to honor people who are using Kinetic Data products to save time and money for their organizations."

KEG took place at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in Denver in late February.
