Kinetic Data Unveils Major Release of Award-Winning Request Management Tool at 2010 Worldwide BMC Remedy User Group (WWRUG10)

Kinetic Request 5.0—now bundled with the new advanced automation engine Kinetic Task 1.0—frees up user time and dramatically reduces request fulfillment times, cutting associated costs by 50 percent.

LAS VEGAS, Nev.—Oct. 19, 2010—Kinetic Data (http://www.kineticdata.com), the leading provider of third-party business service management (BSM) tools built on the BMC Remedy Action Request (AR) System platform, today announced the immediate availability of Kinetic Request 5.0, a major release of the company’s award-winning service request management (SRM) application. Kinetic Request 5.0 now comes bundled with Kinetic Task 1.0—a new advanced automation engine that simplifies task management and enhances workflow control in all service delivery-oriented areas of an organization.

Kinetic Data will showcase Kinetic Request 5.0 and Kinetic Task 1.0 at the WWRUG event, taking place Oct. 18–22, 2010, in Las Vegas. The WWRUG is an independent user group organized by the BMC Remedy AR System community. As a Silver Sponsor, Kinetic Data will contribute valuable user-driven content and training classes at the event. In addition, John Sundberg, president of Kinetic Data, will present an Executive Session with Karl Graham of CareTech Solutions, Inc.—a provider of healthcare IT systems and an early adopter of Kinetic Task. This session is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 12pm local time.

“Anything that speeds up a process while freeing up user time is a hit,” says Karl Graham, director of customer support at CareTech. “With Kinetic Request, we’ve reduced request fulfillment times so significantly that the associated costs have been cut in half.” CareTech has been so pleased with the results of implementing Kinetic Request that it now offers the product to its own customers, adapting it to their specific requirements.

Kinetic Request enables users to create self-service request management portals that utilize data already contained in the BMC Remedy system. With the addition of the advanced automation engine—Kinetic Task 1.0—users will benefit from simplified task management and enhanced workflow control in all service delivery-oriented areas of an organization. Other benefits include:

  • Kinetic Task enables integration with any other third-party ITSM, ERP, and hosted application investments, including HP Service Manager, PeopleSoft, Salseforce.com, and Service-now.
  • Updated portal templates help users jumpstart and deploy service catalog initiatives. Nontechnical users can easily configure complex tasks and approvals.
  • Design-time enhancements let users clone complex work that has already been created, including unlimited dependent tasks.
  • Performance enhancements and accelerators allow for rapid scalability of service catalogs and drive self-service adoption.
  • Streamlined, transparent request fulfillment with an audit trail.

At the 2009 WWRUG, Kinetic Data was named “Innovator of the Year” by the independent Remedy user group community, in recognition of the Kinetic Request product.
