Kinetic Data Launches Enterprise Resource Scheduling Tool at Worldwide Remedy User Group

Kinetic Schedule simplifies the scheduling of enterprise resources by providing immediate “drill-down” visibility into schedules, credentials, availability and more.

Washington, D.C., Sept. 20, 2011—Kinetic Data (http://www.kineticdata.com), provider of third-party business service management (BSM) tools built on the BMC Remedy Action Request (AR) System platform, announced the availability of Kinetic Schedule, its new enterprise resource scheduling tool. The new product was launched at the annual Worldwide Remedy User Group conference (WWRUG11), a meeting of the independent BMC customers and business partners held Sept. 19–23 in Washington, D.C.

Developed to address the challenges inherent in scheduling resources—everything from technicians to meeting rooms—in a vast enterprise setting, Kinetic Schedule enables large businesses to utilize resources as efficiently as possible. Integrated into any existing or API data source, the application enables users to see and schedule virtually any resource type in an on-the-fly fashion. For example, with Kinetic Schedule, an IT manager can quickly find a person, in a specific geographic location, who is buried-cable certified and is available during a specific timeframe to repair a broken underground cable.

“The BMC user community is a great source of influence as we continue to develop our enterprise applications,” said John Sundberg, president of Kinetic Data. “It’s their voice that helps us identify needs and opportunities to take our applications to new levels of efficiency. And we heard loud and clear that they needed the ability to ‘drill down’ search results into unlimited resources. The result is Kinetic Schedule.”

The benefit of Kinetic Schedule’s ability to integrate with any existing or API data source—such as BMC Remedy—is that the data available in a resource search can be as vast as the enterprise itself.

Other benefits of the new application include:

  • Avoids resource-scheduling conflicts;
  • Allows schedulers to quickly view and manage resource scheduling, no matter what applications store the source data;
  • Enables businesses to respond quickly to customer needs;
  • Provides immediate visibility to multiple data sets from multiple sources, in one view;
  • Enables creation of multiple calendars for specific needs and groups;
  • Provides visibility across the enterprise—beyond IT—with permissions;
  • Combines data from multiple sources into a single calendar;
  • Customizes to incorporate company branding; and
  • Lowers costs by providing more efficient and faster customer service.

In 2009, Kinetic Data was named “Innovator of the Year” by an independent group of BMC Remedy users at the WWRUG, and honored with the “Best Customer Service and Support” award at the event in 2010.
