Kinetic Data Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Introduction of Platform-Agnostic Kinetic Task

Enhanced Kinetic Task engine core to holistic Enterprise Request Management approach to business process automation.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (March 4, 2013) — Since 1998, Kinetic Data has been on a mission to help companies take advantage of business process automation to improve efficiency and to save money. A leading developer of Enterprise Request Management (ERM) software to unify automated task processing across the enterprise, Kinetic Data continues to drive out process inefficiencies with the introduction of Kinetic Task software.

Introduced at the company’s three-day Kinetic Enthusiasts Group (KEG) event (Feb 27 – March 1, 2013), Kinetic Task 3.0 marks a technology and historic milestone for the company. A foundational element of Kinetic Data’s suite of business process automation and service delivery management software, Kinetic Data Task 3.0 separates the task engine from the Kinetic Request platform.

Previously only available bundled with Kinetic Request, Kinetic Task is an advanced workflow automation engine which offers complete workflow control and flexibility. By separating the task engine from the Kinetic Request service request management platform, Kinetic Task enables companies to fully integrate workflow processes generated from any system, thereby streamlining approvals, scheduling and service fulfillment.

Through Kinetic Task, users can initiate processes with any system as the activity source. The activities are automatically executed via task trees that can be created with minimal IT involvement. Kinetic Task can communicate with virtually any enterprise application, such as ERP, human resources and ITSM platforms. By providing this capability, the product allows enterprises to benefit from a non-proprietary ERM approach for centralized business process automation and service delivery management (SDM).

“For 15 years, our continued mission has been to help companies streamline their task-oriented business processes and automate workflow requests,” said John Sundberg, president of Kinetic Data. “With Kinetic Task we’re empowering customers to merge the web front-ends of their existing systems with the power of the Kinetic workflow backend. To the average user, the experience will be transparent, fluid and centralized — which is what we all ultimately strive to achieve.”

Ideally suited for internal and external functions such as human resources, IT, facilities management, and sales, Kinetic Task can be easily configured for a limitless number of tasks and approvals needed for managing processes from simple to the most complex. In fact, Kinetic Task can be loaded and configured for a simple task in less than five minutes.
