ST. PAUL, Minn. (January 31, 2014) — Kinetic Data today announced that it has acquired Minneapolis-based :coderow, a developer of native and mobile web applications, hardware-connected mobile applications, and desktop web applications.
"While Kinetic Data is known in the enterprise request management industry for its solid commercial-level systems, :coderow has experience bridging consumer and business," said Kelly Heikkila, founder of :coderow. "Kinetic Data will be able to bring our expertise to businesses looking to simplify processes and eliminate corporate red tape."
The transaction brings more than front-end developers to Kinetic Data. It marks the beginning of a major business expansion and commitment to customers. :coderow talent brings expertise in Voice of the Customer as well as extensive web and mobile application development.

Kinetic Data and :coderow have been collaborating on product development since 2010. Most recently, this collaboration produced software that was voted "Best New Product" at the World Wide Remedy User Group (WWRUG) Conference last year.
Heikkila founded :coderow in 2008 after serving as Kinetic Data’s director of product development. He rejoins Kinetic Data as its director of products. Six of :coderow’s developers will be joining Kinetic Data as well.
Terms of the all-cash transaction were not disclosed.
